Art works commissioned by the Sisters of Charity of Ottawa are the highlights of renovation projects at both the Mother House and Saint-Vincent Hospital.
A large commissioned mural by artist Jerry Grey in the Mother House honours the history of the Sisters and tells pictorial stories of their work in missions around the world. A glass art installation was created collaboratively with Jerry Grey and glass artist Shirley Fineblit to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Saint-Vincent Hospital.
Over a span of twenty years, work on various interior renovations and upgrades in these two handsome buildings wove together finishes and colour, millwork and furnishings, lighting and signage programs to add texture, warmth and comfort.
