Bridgepoint Health opened its new 10 storey, 472 bed hospital in Toronto in April, 2013. Inspired by the energies of the adjacent Don River Valley and the vibrancy and diversity of surrounding streetscapes, Carlyle Design Associates developed the first phase of Bridgepoint’s public art program.
The new facility houses collaborative care programs that support people needing rehabilitation as well as those living with complex health conditions. The building itself, confident and open to the city, is an invitation to more active and fulfilling life.
Designed to engage and delight, art installations punctuate interior spaces and vary from photographs and digital paintings to sculpted steel and colourful textile mobiles.
